CDCC heads right back to the Hobson CG to face PACC in this Sunday's Division 1 Championship at 10am. The Dragons are fresh off a lopsided victory over the ageless HPCC team in last week's semifinal at this same ground where they silenced the legendary Uzair "Lala" Khan for a duck and only lost one wicket in a clinical chase led by superstar Gommzi Neddz and Karthik Borra. Even HPCC's main guy Jehangir Khan was a total bust. It was just CDCC's day and that semifinal experience should make them feel highly confident going into Sunday.
After parting ways with aging players earlier in the year, the retooled Dragons are young and in peak form and have a new-found appreciation for the Hobson ground, which normally causes fits for tourists. Wasim Ahmed and "Cool" Mansoor lead the host team and are preparing for the toughest moment of their season. Can CDCC win two in a row at Hobson and clinch their first-ever Division1 title, or will the home field advantage prove to be too strong for an experienced PACC team who've played in big matches before and won their share of titles? Come watch for yourself and enjoy multiple helpings of kabuli palaw and all the Pepsi you can drink. "Over 150 people will be there" according to PACC captain Wasim Ahmed. Hopefully ICC-Americas and ESPN CricInfo will send staff down there to cover this blockbuster event.
